Kingsmouth Day 2010!

The planning of this year’s Kingsmouth Day has started. As usual, we extend an invitation to all non-residents of Kingsmouth to become honorary members of our proud Town by being dunked in the Miskatonic River before the warmth of spring has truly set in. Other activities include horseshoe game, pool tournament, cookout as well as local vendors offering special discounts all weekend.

Preliminary date is Saturday April 3rd. More details will follow as the Committee continues planning.

Open house at Solomon County Sheriff’s Office!

Sheriff Helen Bannerman invites all to an afternoon of discovery at the Kingsmouth Police Station on Thursday, January 21st starting at 3:00 PM.

Learn about the history of the police and sheriff’s department in Kingsmouth and Solomon County, have your fingerprints taken, learn what it’s liked to be locked up in a cell and pose for pictures with our brand new patrol cars! Welcome to a family day of Fun!

Call the Sheriff’s Office and talk to Deputy Andy Gardener if you have questions.

A friendly reminder from Kingsmouth Congregational

The Reverend Henry Hawthorne wants to remind everyone about service every Sunday at 10 AM in Kingsmouth Congregational – located at the top of Main Street. Everyone’s welcome to worship the Good Lord!

We also have prayer meetings every Tuesday and Thursday at 7 PM, dances and social activities for teens (14 and up) on Saturdays from 6-11 PM, and Pastor Hawthorne organizes a book club for all ages Monday evenings at 7 PM. (We’re currently reading The Lost Symbol!)
